Aisle #28 - Out of commission

My wacom tablet is dead. Upon further inspection, it seems that the flatwire that is attached to the metal sheet inside was torn asunder somehow. The commissions I was working on for Justin Evans and several Furaffinity members will need to be put on hold until I replace it. Well, maybe not Justin’s, as I already had the lineart and colors done and don’t have much more left to do for it, but everyone else will have to wait.

It’s unfortunate that this happens just as I was getting really into spriting…

Here, have some creepy mouse drawing.

LET'S GET TOPLESS

If the school’s scanner is working, I guess I’ll scan that Contra 4 comic I did a while back or something.

Aisle #27 - Speakeasy

I intended to make this update weeks ago, back when I finished writing the new theme that the site is using, but attempting to wait for something derailed those plans. Even so, I still don’t have much art for this update - I started my summer classes already and I’ve been hard at work studying and all that. I’ve uploaded a sketch I drew with sketchbook Pro 2008 and a few sprites, but they aren’t very good looking.

Lanita Hemorrhage sprite for Filthhigh

Oh right, I did do one more thing recently; I drew this picture on that Nintendo hentai oekaki recently. I’m trying to keep the number of times I draw there down to once per month to avoid getting anyone angry.

WARIO LAND SHAKE?

The reason the text looks so precisely rendered is because I intended this piece to be pixel art. I eventually abandoned that plan because of how time consuming it would be.
My entries haven’t been very productive here; I talk too much and don’t draw enough. Most of what I do draw is pixel art I can’t show here, but at least that’s coming along nicely. I had to redo a large chunk of animations after they were lost to a drive crash a while back, but the result is much nicer looking than what I had before. Jim has seen most of those already, and I’m proud of where things are going.

Aisle #23 - BLK MKT and the Master of Toast

The semester is coming to a close, and as a result I have been inundated with work to complete. While I seem to have a propensity for being lax with updating the site, this one is the most valid of my excuses. The 5$ commission deal I’ve been running has met with moderate success; I’m nearing my goal amount and will be able to return to my normal prices without consequence within the next few months. I’m not going to upload my latest commission work until I’m finished with it all, however, so all I’ve got to show today is this pixel art:

SMASHING MAD

Drawn in time for the very last update of the Smash Bros. Dojo site, this pixel art is a tribute to both Smash Bros. and Final Fantasy 6, which I have been playing recently.

The new skin for the site is nearly complete, but I’m still testing it to make sure it works. Andrew will not be using the gallery here until that task is complete. A lot of my time is being eaten up by various classwork, including the extra credit assignments I’m taking that require me to give the Delco chapter of Toastmasters International a visit, along with several plays. Fortunately, the semester ends soon and I can use my short brake to get some work done. (Hopefully.) There’s some new things planned for the site when I get some free time… content, for instance. Let’s see how that goes.

Aisle #22 - The sickness

I’ve been sick lately. Stomach virus, a bad cold, etc. I started taking 5$ commissions on deviantArt after finishing a more involved commission:

Barbara the Bat

This drawing of Barbara the Bat was somewhat satisfying to complete after avoiding Tegaki E for so long.

Older WomanRocke On!Bright Green
Gotta have itMane AttractionStreet Urchin

These are the 5 dollar commissions I’ve completed as of the writing of this post.

I was going to write this entry much earlier, but the gallery system was giving me some trouble after I updated Wordpress to 2.5. The issues I was having are apparently solved now. This site still takes entirely too long to load, and there’s nothing even on it. I’ll be updating the CSS and all that sooner or later. I’ve got a few more commissions ahead of me for the time being however, and paying customers always take priority.

While checking through my archives, it seems that I used to do a lot of character design and just not show anyone what I did for some reason. One of these days I ought to rework the better designs and post them here. Not now, though. There are sprites and commissions to be done for now; daddy needs a new Zune.
